DIAGONAL LIGHT, 2020
The name "Diagonal Light 001" traces its roots to an installation by the renowned minimalist artist, Dan Flavin. His creation, "The Diagonal of May 25, 1963" (of which he made 9 versions, each named after various artists and curators) is a simple fluorescent tube affixed diagonally to a wall. At its inception, this piece was hailed as a landmark in Minimal art. My installation is a homage to Flavin's iconic work. In my early years as a light artist, I was deeply inspired by his use of fluorescent tubes and aspired to contribute to his legacy. In collaboration with the talented @filip.mirbauer.

BE DRAGONS, 2022
This photographic series delves into light drawings inspired by Norse mythology, the mystique of runestones, and the recollection of events, that may or may not have happened. This project is a result of the "Visualia" residency in Sweden, hosted by Jonas Johansson, and co-created with Annie Tadne.
LIGHT MESSAGES, 2022
The Idea of Historical Recurrence in Western Thought
In our modern era, rationality has come to the forefront, often paralleling the educational progress of societies. Critical thinking and the ability to discern between credible and non-credible information are pivotal in this advancement. While history doesn’t always follow a preset path toward an ultimate goal, it has shown a general trend toward a more compassionate and peaceful world. Notwithstanding the catastrophic events of the twentieth century, there remains hope for this positive trajectory, especially within educated, secular, and democratic societies. However, the potential for setbacks always lingers.
The text for this installation draws from multiple sources: news headlines, memes, random comments on the internet, and the insights of psychiatrist Ralph Lewis M.D.

ALLURE, LIGHT INSTALLATION
2022
Dimensions: 1000cm x 500cm
Materials: mixed media, mirror, generative laser projection, smoke machine
"Allure" is an immersive art piece that rotates on its axis, ingeniously employing two-sided mirrors to reflect laser projections onto its surroundings. When placed in nature, this interplay of light and reflection creates a dance of visuals, fusing the artificial with the organic.

NRGY, 2022
Dimensions: 110cm x 55cm
Materials: Metal, Neon (Argon)
This artwork ventures into the realm of fluidity using argon as a medium of expression. Argon, typically used in processes like plasma cutting and welding, is harnessed here to fill the familiar glass tubes often associated with neon lighting. The ethereal blue glow of argon stands out, presenting a living spectacle as the light quivers within its confinement. Though naturally a colorless and odorless gas, argon's luminescent properties are brought to life when activated by a high-voltage electric field.

THE SKY TURNED
FROM GREY INTO BLUE,
2021
Materials: Neural networks, projection loop, plexiglass
Sound design: @nathansolosolo
Data from the NASA archive were fed into a neural network algorithm, which generated a series of images that became mixed with the original input data, and the calculation in between the particular images became a video output that mimics the night sky.
According to astronomers, 99% of the European Union population live in areas with light pollution and therefore are unable to see properly celestial objects. Before artificial lighting was invented, the night sky was used for navigation, there were stories and myths about the constellations and their meaning. Yet in the 21st century, we’re more likely to see pictures from NASA than see the night sky with our own eyes. Does the approximation of pixels become the destiny of humans?
Everything is illuminated but nothing is seen.

A series of sculpture concepts inspired by Icelandic geology. I want them to create mystery about how they are made; by nature, by man, technology or co-created to some extent by all of them.
